I’m a 22-year old from Houston, Texas and currently a senior majoring in Marketing in the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. I’ve always grown up trying new things that seemed to spark my interest at the time. Whether that was through photography, my drawings, or even filling up my room as a child with propagated plants and creating an indoor garden. I even went through a phase in middle school where I bred fish, but this wasn’t like a one time thing, I had at least six or seven fish tanks pumping out babies just for the fun of it.
For 13 years, I swam competitively, I even swam half my freshman year for SMU, accomplishing my childhood goal of swimming in college. Unfortunately though, I was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes my senior year of highschool. And learning how to manage my body and live with this new disease became too much for me to handle while swimming collegiately, so I retired. Lucky though, so much good came out of that and since then I’ve had time to rediscover my old passions and find new hobbies.
In 2020, I became increasingly interested with the fact that someone could make a name for themself through the internet, more specifically the influencer boom that sparked during the covid lockdowns. I actually ended up doing a ton of research relating to social media and understanding how to use it to my advantage. I started posting on TikTok back in early 2021 and gained a platform of roughly 230,000 followers in six months. In doing so, I learned how to analyze consumer data (that being my analytics) and create content that consistently did well based on what that data was telling me. However, up until more recently, I’ve realized being a social media personality isn't quite for me and I prefer to keep my life more private, so I don't use TikTok as a platform to market myself anymore. Plus I just found myself scrolling aimlessly a little too much on that app.
In the fall semester of my junior year, I got the amazing opportunity to go abroad to study in Barcelona. And having recently stepped back from sharing so much of my life on social media it was the perfect opportunity to find new things to do with my life. One of those being, photography. Photography was probably the most consistent hobby I’ve had growing up, but being abroad really made it something so much more. I became really comfortable shooting film and started posting the photos I took abroad on my instagram. I changed my brand to more of a creative space for all my work rather than sharing the day to day of my life. While in Barcelona, I also began to draw again and since then have continued to create drawings and works of art in my freetime. I enjoy it so much that I not only hope but plan on becoming a more recognizable name in the art field one day.
But anyways with that being said, welcome to my creative space! The plan is to just keep getting better at everything I love doing now! Plus you know, maybe dabble in some new projects. You can find all my work on my site, as well as links to my other socials. Feel free to contact me about any collaborations or job opportunities!
